  • Dr. Joshua U. Otaigbe elected Fellow of Society of Plastics Engineering, 2005 .
  • Welcome to Dr. Takashi Kurose who has joined our group as postdoctoral student (April, 2005)
  • Gilles Divoux won the Society of Rheology Travel Grant Award, 2005.

Year 2004

  • Welcome to Dr. Samy Madbouly, that has decided to work in our group as postdoctoral researcher (August 24th, 2004).
  • Congratulations to Kalena Stovall that graduated with a Bachelor in Polymer Sciences from The University of Southern Mississippi in May 2004
  • Kalena Stovall of Hattiesburg has been awarded the prestigious National Science Foundation Graduate. The fellowship pays $10,500 for tuition and expenses and carries a stipend of $30,000 for three years, including a one-time $1,000 international travel award. She attends the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign to earn a Ph.D. in bioengineering.
  • Kevin presented his first paper at the annual SPE ANTEC meeting in May 2004 in Chicago
  • Congratulations to Kalena and Denise that were awarded the first and second places at the AGEM Winter Scholar Symposium, held in Oxford, Mississippi, in January 2004

Year 2003

  • Congratulations to all the graduate students for getting their prospectus completed!!!!
  • Gilles and Meihua presented their research at the annual MRSEC meeting in Hattiesburg in November 2003.

  • Congratulations to Kalena Stovall who was named a NOBCChE Undergraduate Research Competition Finalist for 2003!!! (sponsored by Rohm and Haas )
